Rumors : Wondering about the 2016 Macbook Pros with Intel Skylake…
Apple left Mac users/fans in the dark at its March 21st, event. Apple last updated its 13in and 15in MacBook Pro laptops in March and May of 2015 respectively, so it can’t be long till the new line comes out – we expect the new MacBook Pros to come out on 13 June during WWDC event.
Apple is expected to revamp its MacBook Pro lineup with Intel’s latest-generation Skylake processors at some point in the first half of 2016. Intel’s new chips should give a slight power boost while also offering better battery life, thanks to efficiencies made with the sixth-generation processor. There are also rumors that the MacBook Pro could get a complete redesign this year, but there has been little hard evidence to support that thus far.
The usual internal upgrades with new Intel processors, storage and graphics options, etc. are to be expected, but rumor has it Apple is also planning some larger changes for the design and overall MacBook lineup. In addition to likely getting Siri for Mac this fall alongside the new MacBooks, Apple is also planning “minor user-interface tweaks across core system application windows” and “performance-focused engineering efforts emphasized in OS X El Capitan last year.”
