The MacBook Air packs significant power, memory, and storage into an ultra-thin, ultraportable case. 0.68 inches at its thickest, the MacBook Air is an attractive option for those seeking a lightweight performance system.
While not as powerful as its MacBook Pro cousin, the MacBook Air doesn’t have to be. Boasting Intel processors with turbo boost capability, PCI-e based flash storage (64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB configurations), and several configurable RAM options, the MacBook Air is without argument one of the best ultrabooks on the market.
A highly capable design, the MacBook Air can tackle most consumer computing needs with ease. With impressive sound quality from an ultrabook and high-speed USB and Thunderbolt Ports, it delivers plenty of quality entertainment options.
Perhaps most impressive is the MacBook Air’s extensive battery life. In its latest iterations, this ultrabook has been known to function through over 15 hours of use and boast nearly 30 days of stand-by battery life.
Though perhaps not the best option for those interested in hardcore gaming, the MacBook Air is a wonderfully mobile platform for those needing a system that gets the job done.

The Apple MacBook Air Core i7 2.0 11″ (Mid-2012/USB 3.0) features a 22-nm “Ivy Bridge” 2.0 GHz Intel Core i7 processor (3667U) with two independent processor cores on one chip, a 4 MB shared level 3 cache, 4 GB of onboard 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM (not upgradeable), 128 GB of flash storage, and an Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics processor that shares system memory.
This all is packed in a razor thin (0.11-0.68 inch), 2.3 pound aluminum case with a 720p FaceTime HD webcam, a backlit full-size keyboard and a vibrant 11.6″ widescreen TFT LED backlit active-matrix glossy display (1366×768 native resolution).
Connectivity includes two USB 3.0 ports, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, analog audio out, and a Thunderbolt port. It does not have an internal Ethernet.
This model has a very similar external enclosure to its predecessor, although it includes the USB 3.0 ports and a new thinner and wider MagSafe 2 power connector. Internally, it has a faster processor, architecture, graphics, RAM, and storage.

||This model has an Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics processor that shares memory with the system.
||Apple and Intel do not report the minimum memory usage for the Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics processor. However, with 4 GB of RAM standard, 384 MB of memory is reserved for graphics use. With the 8 GB RAM upgrade, 512 MB of memory is reserved for graphics.
